Who will pay for the 40% battery cost?
Vidyut will pay upfront for the battery and customers need not pay the upfront battery cost.
Who will own the battery?
The battery will be owned by Vidyut and customers will need to only pay the Subscription fee as per their usage.
Will you give the battery to me to run the vehicle?
Yes, we will provide customers with the battery and they can use it to run the vehicle. For this, they will need to pay a one-time fee of flat 8000 + GST and Subscription Fee as per usage.
What do you mean by Lifetime Battery Warranty?
Lifetime Battery Warranty means that a customer can replace their battery with Vidyut after 3-5 years without any cost and continue paying the Subscription Fee.
What is the concept of ‘Subscription Fee’ for Battery? Or How does the pay-as-you-use work?
Customers will need to recharge upfront depending on the kilometres they run the vehicle. You can pay using the Vidyut app. The Subscription Fee can be as low as ₹1.5 per Kilometer.
Will the battery replacement be free? Or will I need to pay something later?
For the subscription plan, battery replacement will be free. Customers will need to continue paying the Subscription Fee.
How is the Subscription Fee calculated?
Depending on the Kilometers any customer runs the vehicle, there are slabs for the Subscription Fee. On the basis of that, the amount will be calculated.
How will the Down Payment and EMI be less?
Customers will only need to purchase the vehicle/chassis and not pay for the battery, thus this will reduce the overall cost of the vehicle, bringing down their Down Payment and EMI.
If I don’t use my vehicle for some time, what will happen?
You will incur a higher rate of Subscription Fee amount if your vehicle runs less.
How do I do a recharge?
Customers can use the Vidyut recharge app to recharge their vehicle. They can select the recharge amount and make a payment.
If I don’t want to use the vehicle, how can I sell it?
Customers can come back to Vidyut to sell their vehicles. They can reach out to us at +91-702-702-4496
If the buyback amount is up to 40% of the on-road price, then how much will I get after 3 years, if I want to sell the vehicle?
Depending on the condition of the vehicle after 3 years, Vidyut’s team will calculate the price and update you.
Who are your OEMs/manufacturers?
We have Mahindra, OSM, Altigreen, Euler, Piaggio, Greaves, and Montra as OEMS.
Where can I charge the nearest service station?
A customer can charge their 3-wheeler EV at any paid charging point at their convenience. Vidyut is also working on collaborating with charging partners and will be adding the same in the subscription/ recharge app. Once we have more information, we shall keep you updated.
